How should we dress for our family session?
The most important thing is wear something that makes you feel good, comfortable, and confident!
Colors matter! Neutral colors and pastels look great on camera. IF you want a light and airy look, dark and deep colors aren't the way to go. Coordinate, but not so much matchy match. Instead of wearing the same color, choose a color palette. Avoid logo's. And just relax, don't stress too much, you will look great!
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
When your baby is less than 2 weeks old.
The best time of day is usually mid morning (10ish). Be sure to feed and change baby just before the session. Make sure baby is in a comfortably warm environment. :)
What kind of poses should I expect?
I love a mix of poses and candids. I will give you posing prompts, and although I may ask you to hold that pose at times, you are definitely not stuck. Please feel free to act natural, interact, be silly! We want this to be a fun and memorable experience! (even for the men) :D
What is your deposit policy?
Things happen, especially with kids involved, I get it!
A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required for all sessions to hold your date and time. This will go towards your overall total. However, if something comes up, please reach out asap and we can reschedule.
Why does it cost so much?
While your session may only be a short time, there's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes. Planning and communicating beforehand, sorting through hundreds of images, and then editing (aka staring at your adorable faces). I spend hours upon hours, days upon days, carefully editing each image so you get a gallery full of beautiful, high-quality photos--often waayyy more than promised.
My pricing helps cover that time, plus all the not-so-glamorous stuff like equipment, software, storage, and taxes. I try to keep things affordable while also valuing the work that goes into every shot.
How many pictures will we receive?
It all depends on the package you choose and how everything goes. I will say that I am a heavy shooter. So more than likely, if all goes well, I'm going to deliver more photo's than expected.
