Jessica + Max

Y'all... I got to photograph a surprise proposal, and it was magic!

Max had the sweetest plan to pop the question at the end of their family photo session, and we had everything perfectly set--driftwood, twinkle lights, the beach at Fairhope Pier... it was straight out of a Pinterest board (but, like, the real-life version). It was simple, sweet, and perfect. Then came the downpour. Like, chaos.. sideways rain, crazy wind, waves crashing. But just when we thought it might not happen, the sky cleared, the sun came out, and the moment was saved!

What made it even more meaningful? Jessica's parents, brother, and my own family were all there to witness it. When Max got down on one knee, Jessica was surprised (probably a little embarrassed) and totally stunned in the sweetest way. Her reaction wasn't loud or dramatic, it was sweet, just like her, and you could feel the love between them.

I'm so honored I got to capture this moment, and I absolutely can't wait for their wedding!

The Engagement

Jessica + Max

Foley, AL

Ohhh my goodness, this session was just SO much fun! I don't think we stopped laughing the entire time. These two were full of joy and full-on heart eyes for each other--even with a cloudy sky, they brought the sunshine (ba-dum chhh!)

We wandered around Foley, which turned out to be the perfect spot. One of my favorite parts was shooting at the train museum. Trains are really special to Max--as he has lost his dad, Thomas the Train was something they shared together. Foley just happens to have some amazing train murals as well, which made it even more special.

This whole session was a sweet reminder of how much love and light these two bring into the world. I love them both and honestly can't wait for what's ahead. They're just the best together!

It's only slightly embarrassing that it's almost been a year and I am just now writing something for their wedding. (Professional Procrastinator)

Being my first wedding, and such a special one at that, there were lots of emotions this day. Excited, emotional, proud "auntie", anxious...

okay... completely terrified! Not gonna lie.

I watched Jessica grow from this sweet little girl to a (still very sweet) bride. I wanted it to be perfect for her and Max.

Max and Jessica were just amazing, completely in love and beaming! I couldn't get over how absolutely beautiful Jessica was! This was such a special day. From the first look with her dad and brother, their unique twist with a unity train track, their promises to one another, and ultimately two families becoming one, it was a day I'll never forget.
